Retire Well: A Wholistic Approach to Retirement

Join us for a workshop of Retire Well, a wholistic approach to retirement. The workshop will be given by PSWN Treasurer Jody Schaeffer and Vice President Deanna Figurito of DFig Connects. The content of the workshop is geared towards individuals within five years of retirements (pre and post), but all are welcome!
The Retire Well program views retirement as a new stage of life, that considers the changes, benefits, and challenges related to retirement. Individuals are encouraged to use their own values to examine four retirement pillars:
- Finances
- Health
- Time and Joy
- Goals and Planning
The workshop will be interactive, and be followed by time for networking. Bring a pad and pen to take notes.
Location: 12 West 39th Street (the old Lord & Taylor building). Look for the Penn State alumnae banner at the check-in desk.

Our esteemed alumnae panelists, both experienced coaches, will share their stories of motivation, goal-setting, and success. Delve into how to set inspiring goals, keep up with new year’s resolutions, use the year end time as a springboard for change, and much more. Following the panel discussion, attendees will have the chance to enjoy light refreshments. ALO x PSWN Scholarship Fundraiser
We are excited to announce that Penn State Women's Network is hosting our first-ever scholarship fundraiser event in partnership with Alo Yoga Sanctuary & Studio in Flatiron. Get ready to roll out your mat and join us for a 60-minute mat Pilates class led by PSU alumna Emi Gutgold (@emimoves on insta).
This is an excellent opportunity to support our inaugural scholarship fund, which will benefit freshman women starting in the Fall of 2023. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund, so you can feel good about getting fit and supporting a great cause at the same time!
The class will take place on Sunday, March 26th, from 2-3 pm EST at Alo Yoga Sanctuary & Studio (164 5th Avenue, New York, NY, 10010). Alo studio is generously providing all attendees with a surprise gift, so you don't want to miss out!
The cost of the class is $30 + fees, which includes the use of mats, towels, and lockers. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign Alo's required waivers. Ticket sales will end on Sunday, March 19 at 5 pm EST, so be sure to sign up ASAP if you are interested. Spots are limited.
